The Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Lahore, Mr. Mehran Movahedfar, paid an official visit to the Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Lahore Division (WCCIL) to explore opportunities for enhanced bilateral cooperation and trade collaboration.
The WCCIL delegation was led by President Ms. Falahat Imran, alongside Founder Dr. Shehla Javed Akram, Senior Vice President Ms. Faiza Nabeel, Vice President Dr. Raheela Akhtar, and Secretary General Ms. Iqra Shamim. The meeting was attended by distinguished representatives including Secretary General of the Art & Decor Association of Pakistan (ADAP) Ms. Amna Saeed, WRCI & WCCIL Consultant Mr. Sohaib Zafar, WRCI Mentor and Founder of Ben Mehtab Mr. Awais Ben Mehtab, former presidents Ms. Saba Mubarik and Ms. Shazia Suleman, executive member Ms. Iram Malik, members Ms. Farzana Ali and Ms. Haseeba Hassan, along with several active members of the Women Resource Center and Incubator (WRCI).
The meeting focused on strengthening mutual trade relations and identifying new avenues for collaboration between Pakistan and Iran, with a special emphasis on women-led enterprises and cross-border business opportunities. During the discussion, Mr. Movahedfar extended a gracious invitation to WCCIL members to participate in the upcoming Expo in Mashhad, offering a valuable platform for Pakistani women entrepreneurs to explore regional markets.
In response, WCCIL warmly invited the Iranian delegation to visit Pakistan to further deepen engagement and explore joint ventures, particularly those that support women’s economic empowerment, innovation, and sustainable trade partnerships.
The dialogue reaffirmed a shared commitment to fostering bilateral trade, cultural exchange, and inclusive economic growth, marking a positive step forward in strengthening Pakistan–Iran relations through collaboration and women-driven entrepreneurship.
