In 2025, the Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry Lahore Division (WCCI Lahore) proudly participated in the Provincial Consultation on Closing Pakistan’s Gender Gap through Economic Empowerment and Financial Inclusion of Women, organized in collaboration with UNDP and Lahore College for Women University (LCWU). The event brought together a dynamic panel of thought leaders and experts, including Arooj Sohail, Tania Buttar, Dr. Uzma Ashiq Khan, Hadia Arshad, Akbar Hussain, Syma Arshad, and WCCI SVP Faiza Nabeel, to discuss actionable strategies for advancing women’s financial inclusion.
WCCI Founder President Dr. Shehla Javed Akram delivered the opening speech, setting the tone for the consultation, while President Ms. Falahat Imran skillfully moderated the panel. Ms. Ammara Durrani represented UNDP, and representatives from key organizations such as PSDF, HomeNet, SheMatters, JAZZ, BOP, and JAZZ Cash contributed valuable insights. The event concluded with a heartfelt thank you note by Dr. Uzma Qureshi, Vice Chancellor of LCWU. Together, this powerful collaboration marks a significant step toward building a more inclusive, equitable, and economically empowered Pakistan.
