WCCIL Hosts Outreach Seminar with the Office of the Ombudsman Punjab
The Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry Lahore Division (WCCIL) was honored to host the Office of the Ombudsman Punjab for an insightful Sunwai / Outreach Seminar dedicated to raising awareness about their mandate, complaint registration process, and citizen facilitation services.
The session was graced by Mr. Arif Anwar Baloch, Advisor to the Ombudsman Punjab, as Chief Guest. He delivered a comprehensive presentation on the institution’s structure, powers, and free-of-cost grievance redressal mechanism. Members were encouraged to learn that filing a complaint takes just 10 minutes and can be submitted via Helpline 1050, the OPMIS mobile app, the official website, or by visiting regional offices.
Mr. Baloch also highlighted the institution’s remarkable performance, sharing that 98% of complaints have been successfully resolved across Punjab, including major land dispute cases. He further announced the launch of a mobile outreach van campaign aimed at enhancing accessibility and awareness for citizens.
The seminar was highly interactive, with WCCIL members actively engaging in discussions and voicing concerns. Mr. Baloch assured that these matters would be addressed promptly.
We deeply appreciate this initiative and commend the commitment of the Ombudsman Punjab to delivering justice, accessibility, and effective solutions for the people of Punjab.
