Standing Against Harassment. Standing With Women.
The Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Lahore Division (WCCIL) proudly shares that our Founder President, Dr. Shehla Javed Akram, represented the chamber at the UN Women’s 16 Days of Activism Event, hosted by the Punjab Safe Cities Authority on 25th November 2025. The event centered on the theme “Smart Cities & Technology for Digital Safety — Ending Digital Violence Against Women & Girls.”
This important gathering brought together national and international leaders who are dedicated to creating safer environments for women and girls, both online and offline. The session highlighted the critical role of technology, AI solutions, data-driven tools, smart city infrastructure, and digital safety applications in preventing harassment and enhancing protection for women.
Participants explored how innovative tools can improve safety, accessibility, and support systems—ensuring that women can navigate digital spaces with confidence and security. The event also included a powerful pledge ceremony and the symbolic Orange Sky Moment, reinforcing the collective commitment to ending violence against women.
